Biography:
Peta was born to Derek Murgatroyd, a fire protection engineer. His wife Suzzane Murgatroyd in Auckland, New Zealand, on 14 July 1986. They moved to Australia with Peta before she was two.
As she was raised in Perth, Western Australia, she considers herself more of an Australian.
Murgatroyd was just four when she started studying classical ballet that continued for 12 years until she had an ankle injury at sixteen and began Latin dancing.
