Born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. in 1974 is the son of Ronda and Cornell. The singer’s childhood was full of hardships. In fact, the family struggled financially. Unluckily, his folks and split up when he was seven.

At his teenage, Nelly moved to University City, Missouri with his mom. During his high school, Nelly formed a hip-hop group St Lunatics.
